Aerial spraying (Revenge of humans)
O.K, mosquitoes literally killed us this summer, and tonight we’ll have the honour to sleep normally without getting bit, as the public utility companies finally remembered to do their job.
I just wanted to take a shot of the small aeroplane spraying death over mosquitoes (aerial spraying), but a bird flew in to my frame at the exact moment I took the shot. Auto zoom changed its mind and the bird turned out more important than the aeroplane. I’m so happy this happened! What do you think?
And then… Yeah, I photographed the aeroplane as I wanted initially. The angle was better, actually 😀
Supermoon
Just another shot of Mr. Moon :). The sky last night (August 10, 2014) was perfectly clear so I had to take a couple of new photos. This time, it is the so-called “supermoon”, due to its position closest to Earth. I really really need a 800mm lens for this kind of shots, since 300 mm is hardly enough… 😀
Total Eclipse of the Moon (2011)
Total Eclipse of the Moon. 15.06.2011. Belgrade. A small practice project of mine, I thought it would be interesting enough for the Projects section. Well, I never tried my Canon Rebel XS on an eclipse before the 2011 attempt. Preiously I tried to shoot a moon eclipse with my compact camera Canon A700 and failed big time. Well, I was not satisfied with this attempt also, since there was lot of humidity in the air, leftovers from that morning’s clouds and rain. Anyway, to shoot an eclipse of the Moon is a totally different thing than to shoot it on some other occasion.
I was very happy about my previous shot of the Moon (check it out below, it was taken in May 2011) and thought that I would be able to repeat the quality but I… Just observe this one as an amateur photo story of the event. Every one of these individual shots of Moon above required entirely different ISO and aperture parameters, so I was rather busy at the time.
The next photo “Touch the Moon” is the other shot of the Moon I am fond of. It was not an eclipse, but the conditions were right. If only I had a 700mm lens…
Fog over Danube
One of my old photos, from January 2008, shot on the banks of the Danube river. The photo came out rather dark (the whole series), so it needed some light correction later on. If only I knew then what I know now… There are a couple more photos of these boats, I might add some later on if I get around to editing them.
Hair
Photographing hair can be done differently. Not everything is for fashion magazines. It’s all about composition.

At the time this website was located on a different domain ( it was moody-cat.com), it’s design was showcased in a Pepin Press reference web design book “Web Design Index 9” for the year 2010, showing “the good stuff” in the world of web design at the time. This photo was accidentally the one that was the first one at the site when the screenshot was made. Nice!
The Number One Tram
Old Bratislava is simply in love with the camera. I used a bit of sepia to enchance the atmosphere.
By the way, this photo was published in the Serbian ReFoto magazine in October 2012, within the annual photo contest.
Old Passage
I love using Belgrade passages. Some of them are closed, some are restored and repainted, but some of them still reflect some other times. This is the view up from a passage downtown, named Nikola Spasic’s Passage. It has been a common target of many photographers for years, because of it’s rustic appearance. Today, as I strolled through it, I decided to give it a try all the same, and capture the part which was not restored. (Photo taken in March 2010)
CATCH THE LIGHTNING 2.0
In June 2013, I remembered to adjust the white balance on my camera in order to avoid the reddish tone of the photos.
The story was the same as in 2011 take. Shooting photos from my hand and getting lucky. But, this time I tried a completely different approach with the parameters. I used ISO 800 (as opposed to ISO 100), which enabled me to shorten the exposure time. I set the exposure to 1/4 seconds (as opposed to 5 seconds) to avoid getting too bright photos due to high ISO. Last time, 5 seconds allowed for shaky photos and a higher risk of mistakes. This time 1/4 second exposure is still rather risky (without tripod), but definitely more stable. The problem is that I didn’t have the 5-second time window anymore, to wait for the lightning. When shooting at 1/4 exposure, there is no margin of error, you need to take the photo at exactly the right time, immediately before the lightning hits. Win stability of the image but be ready to lose some really great moments due to shorter exposure.

…in Leopold Museum, Vienna. These beholding people were crucial element of this photo. It wouldn’t be nearly effective if it weren’t for them, so I’m thankful…
Droplets
The background is actually LCD TV screen 2 meters away, blurred by the DOF. All light in the image came from the screen. Since the image constantly changed it was great to catch a static moment for an interesting background
A serious duck
Usually something is wrong. The light is wrong. Or the water. The duck is definitely moving too fast. But probably I’m doing something wrong. I guess this time everything went well.
Of course, no duck photo can be posted without THAT hilarious “duck song”:

Light played its game. The TV set produced the greenish glow, while the yellowish source is a simple light bulb in the next room.
